About this file

This document is a Bid Bond for the City of Carmel, Indiana, specifically related to the Clay Center Road Path Construction and Culvert Replacement Project. The Bid Bond is a standard financial instrument that provides a guarantee to the City of Carmel that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded and will fulfill all contractual obligations. The bond is set at 10% of the total bid price, serving as a form of financial protection for the city in case the winning bidder fails to proceed with the project after being selected.

The Bid Bond outlines the conditions under which the surety company will be responsible for paying liquidated damages to the City of Carmel if the bidder does not comply with the contract requirements. The bond requires the bidder to execute the contract, provide required documentation, and deliver performance and payment bonds totaling 100% of the contract price if awarded the project. The document is designed to ensure the financial integrity and commitment of the bidding contractor for the Clay Center Road Path Construction and Culvert Replacement Project, which involves constructing a multi-use path, installing storm sewers, creating curb ramps, and replacing existing culvert structures.
