Program Objective
The objective of the Effective Sensor Technology Evaluations and Enabling Methodologies (ESTEEM) Program is to conduct research into advanced assessment and evaluation methodologies. The ESTEEM Program will include the development and use of improved methodologies that provide for more effective and efficient analyses and evaluations of advanced sensor technologies. The ESTEEM Program will provide for collaborative research that leverages the IDAL to better enable technology maturation and transition.

Performance Location
•Research and development can occur either onsite at AFRL or at appropriately equipped contractor facilities
– RYWD will strive for a strong onsite R&D program, leveraging offsite R&D specialists as needed to maximize productivity •Integration and demonstrations will be performed on-site
– Integration is expected to occur throughout the performance of the research, not just at the end of the effort
– Developed technology will be integrated with other products and technologies in the IDAL
– Incremental developments will be delivered and integrated for test, demonstration, experimentation purposes
– The goal is demonstration of the capabilities, assessment of developed technology, and experimentation with developed technology
14DISTRIBUTION A – Approved for Public Release – 88 ABW-2015‐5890
Scope
•Develop/evolve research methodologies for rapid assessments/evaluations (qualitative and quantitative) of advanced sensors and EW technologies/systems through IDAL synthetic battlespace simulation
•Conduct applications assessment/demonstration research through man/hardware-in-the-loop simulation to develop/evolve advanced sensor/EW technology, concepts and systems
•Develop advanced sensor/EW technologies/systems through real-time simulation assessment/demonstration methodologies that establish the technical benefits and issues
•Collaborative research using simulation based acquisition approaches to evolve integrated technologies/concepts for spectrum warfare, development of advanced simulation methodologies, and all phases of S&T research (6.2/6.3), weapon system development/production/sustainment and operational assessments
