About this file
This document contains contract specifications for janitorial services at two U.S. Forest Service Ranger District offices. The contractor must provide cleaning services at the Ontonagon Ranger District (1209 Rockland Rd, Ontonagon, MI 49953) and the Kenton Ranger District (4810 East M-28, Kenton, MI 49967). Both locations require weekly office and bathroom cleaning, with specific monthly and annual tasks detailed for each site. Weekly tasks include dusting and wiping surfaces, cleaning kitchens and entrances, vacuuming carpets, emptying wastebaskets, and performing bathroom sanitation. Monthly responsibilities include sweeping and mopping under floor mats, dusting miniblinds, and cleaning utility sinks. Annual tasks encompass damp-wiping wastebaskets, cleaning all office windows inside and outside, and shampooing carpets and upholstered furniture.
The Kenton location has slightly more intensive requirements than Ontonagon, including twice-weekly cleaning of the public entrance and wastebasket emptying, and an additional warehouse bathroom to maintain. All cleaning supplies must be included in the contractor's price and must comply with a comprehensive and sustainable Green cleaning program certified through www.greenseal.org, with Material Data Sheets submitted to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for approval before use. The Forest Service will supply paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap, sanitary napkin bags, and urinal deodorizers. Exact cleaning days will be determined at a pre-work meeting between the contractor and the government.
