This is an amendment to an advertised contract issued by Paulding County for the FY2026 Asphalt Resurfacing Project (Project Number 2026-ASPH-1, Bid #26015-1508). The amendment addresses clarifications requested by bidders regarding project specifications and requirements. The letting date for this project is March 27, 2026. The amendment clarifies that line item #30 should be used for the topping mix specification of 9.5mm TP II GP 2 recycled asphalt concrete, superpave, including bituminous material and hydrated lime, with a quantity of 9,600 tons. Additionally, the amendment establishes that the minimum shoulder width for shoulder building is two feet, with typical shoulders constructed at a one-inch drop per one-foot width to facilitate surface water drainage away from the roadway, and notes that earthen wedges may be required in special areas where this standard slope cannot be achieved, subject to project engineer approval.
