Amendment A00001 – SF 30, Block 14 (Cont’d)

1. Section J is revised to include the following attachment:

J10 Georgeville Topo (added as of A00001)

2. The following questions received in response to this solicitation have been answered:

NO. QUESTION ANSWER

1 Please verify installation of an anti-buoyancy system for the AX Max unit has been considered and deemed unnecessary due to the bury depth only being 48” or half of the unit height. +C8:C9

The need for anti-buoyancy measures for the AX

Max275-42 was considered in the design process and was deemed unnecessary.

2 Attached is the information I mentioned sending you when I saw you onsite last week. Attached is information for the UV Pure 60’s and new Gen

1000W’s that replace it. My concern is that the plumbing in the control building will allow for its installation should it be purchased in the future.

The design incorporates a footprint in the control’s building for the possibility of future UV installation.

The design does not confirm compatibility with any specific UV units.

3 In looking through the plans I see where is calls for the installation of an 8” Orenco Biotube

Effluent Filter. My concern is that this size of an effluent filter will require more frequent maintenance that a larger one. I would like you to opt for either the 12” Biotube Filter or the Polylok

525 effluent filter. I have attached supporting information for both.

The tank where the referenced effluent filter is to be installed utilizes two outlets. The design therefore is specifying not one, but two 8” effluent filters. The design engineer considered the effective filter flow area required for the application’s design flow, and the specified effluent filters are expected to provide the required performance.

4 Does the new panel have cellular or digital signal?

Is there cell service in the area? Can the panel be accessed via IP address (for remote trouble shooting)?

There is not adequate cell service in the project area to utilize for telemetry. An inquiry has been submitted to the Nation’s instrumentation and controls service provider regarding the status of the facility’s IP address and the availability for remote 2-way communication.

Follow-up information may be provided as necessary.

5 Heating & Cooling System: Back when we provided a budget price for this shelter in March

2018 we included both heating and air conditioning. I would like to check to ensure the air conditioning was purposely removed from the building specification? The current specification

Section 13 34 23 2.03 A 3a calls only for a heating unit. Please confirm if the air conditioning is not to be included with the building.

Confirmed, AC is not to be included in the building.

6 Section 13 34 23 2.02 H 1 – Plumbing Vent: The specification calls for a 2” plumbing vent that is installed in the roof. This was not included in our

March 2018 Budget quote and is not shown in the

Fiberglass Control Building Drawings. The plumbing in the building has numerous vents and the building itself has a ventilation system & vent intake (shown in Section 13 34 23 2.03 3b & 3c). I don’t understand the purpose for this vent so please provide additional vent, vent plumbing and location details so this can be added as needed.

The building’s plumbing needs to be vented. Submittals that utilize alternate venting configurations must indicate the vent location.

7 Do you know the extent of the damage to the tanks?

The tanks have not been inspected, it is the responsibility of the contractor to perform the tank pumping and inspection. Specification section 33 01

343.02 D: Interior surfaces shall be inspected for voids

and cracks capable of allowing water to pass through;

33 01 343.02 G: Pipes, access risers and seals shall be evaluated for water tightness, and replaced as needed.

Tanks in reference are shown on P3 of 15 in the drawings.

8 Can I get the engineering and surveying files for the current onsite elevations?

See Section J, Attachment J08 “Georgeville Topo” showing site contours with elevations. We are unable to provide the engineering drawing files. A .dwg file will be provided to the contractor upon award, as needed. IHS will provide the construction stakeout.

9 Would the Government consider an extension to the period of performance due to the corona virus?

It is the contractor's responsibility to notify the

Contracting Officer as soon as possible after impacts to the contract becomes evident (regardless of the source or cause). Period of performance extensions related to

COVID-19 may be granted to account for immediate delays depending on the situation, and any other impacts will be addressed on a case-by-case basis with your Contracting Officer and as allowed by the various clauses in the contract.

10 I would like to know what company builds the fiberglass tank, pump tank, and also the prefabricated control building. I have contacted the engineers and they referred me to the Indian

Health Service. Reference CU-07, CU-08, and

CU-09
