About this file

This email correspondence and related federal contract opportunity summarize a procurement for full maintenance services. The email outlines plans to replace 175 fire extinguishers at two government facilities in Austin, Texas in September 2019. A contractor will ship new Amerex extinguishers to the loading dock, inspect and tag them, and oversee a one-for-one swap of old units with the new ones in their locations. The old extinguishers will then be collected. The subsequent federal contract opportunity provides additional context, with the General Services Administration seeking these full maintenance services on a competitive SDVOB set-aside basis. The anticipated period of performance is July 2020 to June 2021 at the VA Austin Information Technology Center and U.S. Treasury Building in Austin.

Good afternoon gentlemen, I would like to get your order in for the new fire extinguishers and just wanted to confirm some things since the last time we discussed this was in March. The extinguisher inspections are due at the VA/Treasury in September, and the plan is to replace all the 5 LB units (which are due for 6 YR maintenance/recharge services) with brand new Amerex units. To confirm the existing plan:

1. I will have Amerex drop ship the (175) extinguishers to your dock at the VA.

2. Koetter will then send an extinguisher technician to unbox the new units, inspect them and add the tag to each.

3. Your on-site crew will then station the new extinguishers with a 1-for-1 swap with the old ones in their respectable locations.

4. All of the old extinguishers will be brought back to the loading dock and Koetter will be notified to come pick them all up.

Does all of this still sound correct and the way you would like to proceed?

I will need a date in September that works best for you guys to time the day of shipment if so.

Appreciate your help with this!

Thank you, Benjamin Rollins Service Manager Koetter Fire Protection of Austin, LLC
