About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for RFP 44DOC-S3444 for Pest Control Services issued by the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC). The document addresses nine key questions from potential bidders regarding pest control service requirements across multiple correctional facilities, including HDSP, SDCC, FMWCC, NNCC, ESP, SCC, LCC, JCC, CGTH, and NNTH. The Q&A covers specific details about service scope, including fly light installations, cell treatments, and potential future service expansions.

The document indicates that pigeon abatement and additional services can be submitted via separate pricing files. Facilities currently have varying levels of fly light coverage, with plans to add more at specific locations contingent on institutional budgets. Cell treatments are not monthly but performed on an as-needed basis, with bedbugs being the most common pest. The contract allows for potential future considerations of rodent control devices, and technicians must obtain facility-specific permissions to bring electronic reporting devices on-site. Notably, the Nevada State Prison (NSP) is explicitly excluded from the scope of work, as it is not maintained by NDOC.
