Great Lakes Environmental Center, Inc. (GLEC) has broad experience in the collection and upload of
STORET water quality data into USEPA's Water Quality Exchange (WQX) and maintains the ongoing capability and expertise to upload data into WQX for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality
(ADEQ). GLEC WQX experience includes uploading STORET data for the USEPA Region 2 U.S.
Virgin Islands Basic Water Quality Monitoring Program (USVI BAWQMP); the Michigan Department of
Great Lakes, Energy, and the Environment surface water quality monitoring program; and the USEPA
Region 5 St. Louis River TMDL program. The Region 2 USVI work comprises the most extensive example of GLEC WQX experience, with GLEC managing the uploading all STORET water quality data on an annual basis since 2014. GLEC is responsible for the design and delivery of data survey forms to contracted field survey organizations, the quality and accuracy of field data, and the subsequent processing and submission of survey data and reports in prescribed electronic formats to the water
USEPA Region 2 and Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources Department of
Environmental Protection (VIDPNR-DEP). GLEC oversees the formatting and uploading of the conditioned and approved STORET data into WQX. An example* of the USVI BAWQMP STORET data is provided as an attachment to this memo, and representative data can be found in the WQX system under Project query ‘USVI BAWQMP’.
