About this file
This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) issued by Jordan School District in Utah, revised September 10, 2024, in accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97). The statement applies to vendors contracting with Jordan School District to provide goods or services, including supplies, information technology, or construction services for the district-wide elevator maintenance and repair project. All vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the applicable Utah Code section, and must agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract if awarded. The statement specifies prohibited boycotts, including those targeting the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, companies involved in firearms manufacture or distribution, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond state and federal requirements, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must immediately notify the public entity in writing if they engage in any such boycott during the contract period.
Vendors must sign and submit the certification statement as part of their bid response, providing their company name, printed name, signature, and date. The statement constitutes a binding agreement for vendor compliance throughout the entire contract term with Jordan School District.

ATTACHMENT B
Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement
In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.
We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
