About this file
This is a Questions and Answers amendment (Amendment 0001) for RFQ #140P5125Q0002 regarding a boiler replacement project at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Visitor Center.
The Q&A clarifies that the existing boiler uses electrical power and natural gas fuel, and the new boiler should be high efficiency with Low NOx emissions, preferably made in America. Key technical specifications include the requirement for stainless steel piping due to outdoor installation. The circulation pump can be replaced if required by the new boiler, and the existing electrical feeds are properly sized and reusable. No specific thermostat manufacturer is preferred, and no Building Automation System work is required. The project adds an optional thermostat installation to replace the existing monitor in the visitor center, detailed in revised attachments 0009 (Statement of Work) and 0010 (Price Schedule). The project is not tax exempt, and contractors are not required to submit specific QA/QC or Safety Plans. One superintendent can fulfill supervision, safety, and QA/QC roles.
