About this opportunity
Nebo School District is requesting proposals for general exterior pest control services at forty-seven district-owned facilities across Utah County, with proposals due August 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The contractor must be licensed in Utah.
The scope comprises three scheduled treatments per year (April, July, and September/October) beginning September 2026 using barrier pest control methods and non-emergency preventive treatments, plus response to emergency pest requests within one business day of notification. Facilities span thirty-one elementary schools, six middle schools, five junior high schools, five high schools, and four specialized facilities (Landmark, ALC, and Summit Center) located in Springville, Spanish Fork, Payson, Salem, Santaquin, and Mapleton. The district prefers green chemicals and procedures; contractors must supply Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used.
The initial contract term is one year from September 1, 2026, with options to renew for four additional one-year periods subject to performance review. Either party may terminate with forty-five days' written notice. Pricing must be all-inclusive of supplies, materials, labor, travel, and equipment, with separate per-hour pricing for non-scheduled emergency call-outs. Annual price escalation requests capped at the Consumer Price Index are subject to District approval.
Insurance requirements include General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence / $3,000,000 aggregate), Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 per accident), and Workers' Compensation, with the District named as an additional insured on a primary and non-contributory basis. The contractor must verify employee work eligibility through E-Verify and confirm personnel and subcontractors are not on the federal System for Award Management exclusion database.
Evaluation uses three stages: responsiveness review, then technical proposal (40 points experience/qualifications, 25 points past history/references, 5 points green practices; 60-point minimum to advance), and cost evaluation (30 points). All questions and official communications must flow through the Bonfire platform or authorized addenda.
