About this opportunity

Habersham County Board of Commissioners in Georgia is requesting quotes for the purchase of a commercial-grade grapple dump trailer for storm debris management, with responses due October 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and a tentative award date of October 21, 2026.

The trailer must be an 18'–20' deck-over style dump bed with bumper pull configuration, 8' width, 60" walls, hydraulic dump bed, and dual axle with 22,000 lb. GVWR. The hydraulic grapple arm must feature a minimum 21' reach, minimum 3,000 lb. capacity, self-contained power unit, and hydraulic outriggers. Possession and payment are scheduled for December 1, 2026, though alternative delivery dates may be considered.

Submissions must include a completed Vendor Packet with pricing broken down by trailer cost, freight, and other expenses, along with warranty descriptions. Bidders must execute a Bidders Declaration, a Non-Collusion Affidavit notarized before a notary public, and a Certificate of Non-Discrimination affirming compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements. All submissions must be received in a sealed envelope at the Habersham County Administration Building, 130 Jacobs Way, Suite 302, Clarkesville, GA 30523, or submitted electronically to purchasing@habershamga.com. Responses constitute an irrevocable offer for 90 calendar days.

Prior to active vendor status and payment, service providers must provide proof of liability insurance before work commencement, including general liability coverage with a minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence limit (with Habersham County named as additional insured), workers' compensation coverage with specified employer's liability limits, and auto liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence if vehicles are used. Questions are due October 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. All questions and answers will be posted on the county's website at www.habershamga.com/bids. Habersham County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities and formalities in the bidding process.
