About this opportunity

Middletown Township in Pennsylvania is soliciting bids for the 2025 CDGB ADA Curb Ramp Replacement Program, a municipal infrastructure improvement project focused on enhancing accessibility along several township roadways. The procurement involves comprehensive ADA curb ramp construction, which includes installing detectable warning surfaces, performing landscaping restorations, and executing permanent pavement restorations. Bidders must carefully review the detailed project specifications, technical documents, and project plans provided in the bid package. The bid submission deadline is August 28, 2025, with multiple addenda (three total) already issued that may contain critical updates or clarifications. Prospective contractors must comply with the comprehensive bidding requirements outlined in the "Information for Bidders" document, which includes detailed submission guidelines, wage rate determinations, and technical specifications. Evaluation criteria will likely include technical capabilities, proposed methodology, cost structure, and demonstrated experience with similar municipal ADA infrastructure projects.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documents, contractors should anticipate standard municipal procurement requirements regarding contractor qualifications and compliance. The project appears to be funded through Community Development Block Grant (CDGB) resources, which may imply potential preferences for local or disadvantaged business enterprises. The technical specifications and project plans suggest a complex infrastructure upgrade requiring specialized construction expertise in ADA compliance and urban roadway modifications. Though a precise budget range is not specified, the comprehensive nature of the project—involving multiple roadways and extensive curb ramp replacements—indicates a substantial municipal investment. Contractors should be prepared to demonstrate robust capabilities in civil engineering, ADA-compliant infrastructure construction, and municipal project management, with particular attention to precise technical specifications and wage rate requirements outlined in the comprehensive bid documentation.
