About this opportunity

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, specifically the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute, Indiana, is seeking a small business contractor to provide A1 FORM 10 food items for its facility. The solicitation, issued under NAICS code 311999, requires vendors to submit comprehensive quotes for a variety of frozen food products including French toast, beef patties, chicken items, fish products, and other protein-based items. Quotes must be submitted electronically to Richard Moothery by June 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with pricing that includes freight costs to the facility. The government will evaluate quotes based on a best value approach, considering price, past performance, quality, and administrative costs, with past performance being the most critical factor. All interested vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and are expected to quote on all items to be considered for award.

The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside, meaning only small businesses can compete for this contract. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2025 and will be made directly to the Federal Correctional Complex located at 4700 Bureau Road South in Terre Haute, Indiana. The government reserves the right to make single or multiple awards based on the most advantageous proposal. Payment will be processed through Electronic Funds Transfer or government purchase card for awards under $10,000, providing flexibility for smaller vendors. Faith-based and community-based organizations are explicitly encouraged to submit quotes, ensuring broad participation. While specific contract value is not detailed, the solicitation suggests the potential for a significant food supply contract serving the correctional facility. The contract will be awarded following a comprehensive evaluation process outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-2.
