Update #6 ·

Added: May 12, 2010 10:49 am Modified: Jan 13, 2011 3:15 pmTrack Changes Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC) has made the determination to separate the solicitation for the Fire Fighting Systems/Equipment into two separate contract actions 1) for the Fixed Fire Fighting Equipment/Systems, and 2) for the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs). Therefore the prevailing solicitation will be amended and re-solicited to include only the fixed fire fighting systems for the Fleet. The SCBAs will be re-solicited on a separate requirement via the government portal (FedBizOpps and the MSC webpage) as soon as possible. To ensure continuity of the requirement the fire fighting systems will utilize the current solicitation as amended to extract the requirements for SCBAs. As soon as the requirement has been reviewed and approved for publicizing the solicitation will be released for industry interest and request for proposals. This is to be a new requirement and therefore all interested parties meeting the constraints of the requirement will be entertained. NAICS Code 336611 will be utilized for this requirement as per the original solicitation and the requirement will be set aside 100% for Small Businesses.

Any questions or concerns should be addressed to Cheryl Somers at (757)-443-5921 or cheryl.somers@navy.mil. Any questions or comments related to this amendment/synopsis shall be submitted by 28 January 2011 @ 1600 hours Eastern Standard Time (EST).
