About this opportunity

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), under the Department of Energy Office of Science, is seeking to procure a high voltage probe station to characterize novel semiconductor materials such as gallium oxide. The probe station must be compatible with NREL's Keysight Power Device Analyzer (PDA) and have the capability to measure devices under high voltage (up to 10 kV) and high current conditions, with a 300mm probing stage and temperature range of -100°C to 300°C. The solicitation will use a lowest price, technically acceptable selection process, and proposals must meet all mandatory qualifications and technical requirements to be considered. The deadline for technical questions is April 19, 2024, and proposals are due by April 29, 2024.

The solicitation is not set-aside for any specific business size or type. NREL has not identified any incumbent contractors. The estimated contract value is not provided, but the probe station must fit within a 48" x 48" space next to the PDA and be delivered no later than September 30, 2024. The place of performance is Golden, Colorado.

Update #3 · Latest ·

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) seeks a high voltage probe station that will immediately be used to characterize novel semiconductors being grown by the material science group. Gallium Oxide semiconductors have the advantage of being able to block very high voltages. Currently there is no probe station at NREL able to characterize these devices to their full potential.

Amendment 1 posted 4/24/24: Q&A's, Extend Due Date, and revised Tech Specs Document.

Amendment 2 posted 4/29/24: Additional Q&A's.
