About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 intends to solicit proposals for elevator inspection services at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System facilities located at 3801 Miranda Avenue in Palo Alto, California. A firm fixed-price contract set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses will be awarded. The solicitation posting on beta.SAM.gov on August 4, 2021 will include the requirement for regular inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Proposals will be evaluated based on the offerors' inspection expertise, safety certifications, and past performance. Submissions are due by August 16, 2021.
The solicitation is designated as a service-disabled veteran-owned small business set aside. NAICS code 238210 and PSC code R499 will apply. As the incumbent contractor's contract is expiring, the award value is estimated to be under $250,000 to cover inspections for one base year plus four option years. The contract will require certified elevator technicians to conduct monthly inspections and be on-call for repairs or emergencies at the multiple building location.
