About this opportunity
This solicitation seeks proposals for fiber optic cable installation services at multiple buildings at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command requires the engineering, furnishing and installation of new fiber optic cables between several information transfer buildings and end buildings on base. Evaluation will be based on the factors outlined in Section M, with proposals due by August 10, 2020. An organized site visit for interested contractors will be held on July 16, 2020 to tour the project sites.
This acquisition is set aside as a total small business opportunity. The estimated value is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Fiber optic cable must be installed between the identified buildings within 240 calendar days from notice to proceed. The place of performance will be at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi.

The Magnitude of the proposed construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
This acquisition is being issued as a Total Small Business set-aside.

An organized site visit has been set for Thursday, 16 July 2020 at 10:30 AM CST. In order to gain access to the base to attend the site visit you must have a valid driver's license/identification card, valid registration for any vehicle you will be operating, and proof of insurance. Contractors are no longer able to enter the base via the south side entrance of the Contracting Office for site visits. Specific instructions are identified in 52.236-27 Site Visit (Construction). All persons attending must wear a face covering/mask. Anyone not wearing a face covering or mask will be turned away and denied entry to the building.
Your attention is directed to Section L for Proposal Preparation and Section M for Evaluation Factors for Award.
