About this opportunity
NASA Shared Services Center seeks delivery of a half-day Extreme Ownership leadership development workshop at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, on September 22, 2026, with quotes due August 4 at 3:00 p.m. CT. The procurement is set aside for small business and carries a compressed response timeline driven by fiscal year end deadlines.
Place of performance is NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland. The NAICS code is 611430, Professional and Management Development Training. Deliverables include a pre-event strategy call with NASA's point of contact prior to September 22; one trained instructor for the 3.5-hour workshop; Extreme Ownership Training Manuals for all attendees; 150 copies of "Extreme Ownership" by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin; and post-workshop access to three Extreme Ownership Academy online courses (Extreme Ownership Framework, The Readback, and The Debrief) for a minimum of one to three months following the course. Expected attendance is 40–50 participants with a maximum capacity of 70. Books and manuals must be delivered one week in advance. Training will cover relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration, effective communication across the chain of command, plan simplification and task prioritization, team member empowerment, and decision-making amid uncertainty, using presentation, interactive discussion, question-and-answer sessions, and practical application exercises. NASA will provide the training room and standard audiovisual equipment; contractors need not supply these items.
Evaluation will employ either best-value methodology considering prior NASA experience, alignment with Agency and Center priorities and Flight Projects Directorate leadership goals, schedule, and course composition, or lowest-price technically acceptable criteria, with specific weighting to be determined by the Government. Offerors must be registered in SAM.gov. Quotes must remain valid for 30 days and include two points of contact. Delivery is FOB Destination.
