About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of the Army, through the Project Manager Mission Command, is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather industry feedback on data platform capabilities that can operate in cloud, on-premises, bare metal, or hybrid environments, including disconnected, disrupted, intermittent, and low-bandwidth (D-DIL) scenarios. The desired data platform should provide capabilities such as data integration and management, data governance, cataloging, lineage tracking, security, and analytics integration, utilizing a microservices-based architecture within a non-proprietary container ecosystem and offering automated deployment. Respondents are requested to submit a white paper not exceeding 10 pages, demonstrating their relevant experience and capabilities. The government does not intend to award a contract based on this RFI, but will use the information to shape future acquisition guidance. Responses are due by noon EST on November 15, 2024, and questions should be submitted by October 18, 2024.
This RFI does not have a set-aside designation, and the government has not provided any information about potential incumbents or current contractors. The acquisition strategy and budget details have not been defined, as this RFI is for market research purposes only. The government is considering a flexible deployment model with both on-premises/edge and cloud solutions, requiring compliance with IL5 and IL6 security, and near-real-time data transfer within 8 seconds for live data feeds like ground PLI, air tracks, and sensor data.
