INFORMATION FOR POTENTIAL OFFERORS
The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Bremerton, Washington intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price, stand-alone contract in support of the accomplishment of maintenance, repair and preservation of two (2) CVN Camels.
Each CVN Camel is comprised of two (2) equal sections that are bolted together, that may be temporarily separated. Each CVN Camel measures with a length of 67 feet, width of 66 feet, and draft of 3 feet. The weight ranges between 112 tons to 116 tons. The hull type is steel pontoon. Each pontoon is 4 feet diameter X 30 feet length. Contractors' facility must possess the capability of accommodating two (2) CVN Camels with the dimensions as stated above.
The contractor will arrange for and transport each vessel from the Government facility at Everett Naval Station, WA to the Contractor's facility. Upon completion of work, the contractor will coordinate delivery of each vessel to the Government facility at Everett Naval Station, WA.
Expected Period of Performance is 18 January 2017 through 23 March 2017.
The Government is contemplating a 100% small business set-aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 336611, size 1,250 employees. The Government intends to post a request for proposals on or about October 18, 2016 and anticipates award of the Firm-Fixed Price, stand-alone contract on or about January 3, 2017 to the responsible contractor on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis in accordance with, but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.101-2. Offerors can view and/or download the draft notional work specification for review at https://www.fbo.gov.
All offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) to receive award of Government contracts. Offerors are advised also that SAM representations and certifications can be completed electronically via the System for Award Management website at http://www.sam.gov.
