About this opportunity

The notice involves a Firm-Fixed Price, single-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Biomerieux, Inc. for the VA North Texas Healthcare System in Dallas, Texas. The procurement covers specific laboratory equipment including VC Torch, Filmarray Torch Modules, and various diagnostic panels such as RP2.1, GI, BCID2, and ME panels. The contract will also include extended warranty services for the BioFire Filmarray Torch System. The VA is seeking these items for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) to support their diagnostic testing capabilities.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform potential contractors about the VA's intent to award a sole source contract to Biomerieux, Inc. under the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), which allows for procurement from a single source when no other supplier can meet the agency's requirements. Interested contractors may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations by email, referencing the notice ID 36C25725Q0595, by June 6, 2025. The VA will use submitted proposals to determine if a comparable or more advantageous source is available. If no affirmative written response is received within 7 days of the notice's publication, the contract will be issued to Biomerieux, Inc. without further notice. All responsible sources are eligible to submit their information, with the understanding that the VA has determined Biomerieux, Inc. as the sole source capable of meeting their specific laboratory equipment and service needs.
