About this file

This document provides details regarding a federal contract opportunity for HVAC replacement at the DeConcini Hill radio site. The solicitation seeks a contractor to replace two HVAC units that provide cooling for communications equipment. Work must be completed expeditiously to minimize downtime of the systems that support First Responder and military missions. The performance period allows replacement of one unit at a time to avoid taking the entire site offline, but the goal is to finish replacing both units within 12-15 hours on a single day if powering down is necessary. The solicitation was issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground for HVAC replacement services. Responses are due by the date specified in the attached solicitation document.

Text version

The period of performance will run from the date of delivery of the HVAC units to the final day of the installation and test of both units. This radio site provides communications for First Responders and military missions. Down time must be kept to a minimum. The expectation is to have work completed in one day (within 12-15 hours or sunup to sundown) if both units are being replaced at the same time and the site is powered down. If one HVAC unit can be replaced at a time without turning the repeaters off, we have the liberty to complete the job in two or three days.
