Text version

Question:

In the solicitation it states that 2 (two) 10,000 lb bridge cranes will be on a runway with one bridge crane at each end of the runway. The issue is whether or not there is a possibility that both bridges could be in the same bay or section of the runway at the same time. Can you please get clarification on if there is a possibility that both cranes could be operated in close proximity to each other or not?

Answer:

No, they will not be able to work on the same line, a stop will be installed to keep them apart

Question:

If columns are needed, this adds other questions such as runway beam size, and how often to support, etc.

Answer:

This is a complete replacement system. The columns that are required are dictated due to the tonnage of the cranes that they will be supporting, along with beams size, how often to support, etc.
