About this file
This document is a special packaging instruction for a remotely operated weapon system. It provides detailed requirements for packaging, blocking, bracing and loading multiple items, including the remote weapon station, support equipment storage bag, bundled cables, collector bags, weapon adaptation kits and electronic components. Specific instructions are given for constructing an ASTM D6251/D6251M Type III Class 2 Style A wood container, with interior dimensions of 39.5" x 47.75" x 37.5". The document outlines the placement of items within the container and securing them with blocking and bracing according to the diagrams provided. Special marking requirements are indicated to identify the contents and destination unit. The packaging is intended for palletization on a 463L cargo system, with a maximum of eight packages per pallet.
