About this file
This document is a special packaging instruction for an armament subsystem remotely operated weapon system. It provides detailed instructions for packaging, blocking, bracing and marking the contents of a master crate for shipping. The crate is to contain a remotely operated weapon station along with support equipment, cables, weapon adaptation kits, ammunition feed chutes and other components. It specifies the construction of the crate in accordance with industry standards, and lists materials and dimensions for blocking and bracing. Loading procedures describe placement of items and orientation of the weapon station within the crate. Special markings are to be applied to identify the system and serial number. The packaged crate is intended for palletization on a 463L pallet cargo system with a recommended load configuration provided.
