About this file
This document is an email from Katie Schloss, a Verizon Government Account Manager, to Tricia Opp, discussing a new distance learning offer from Verizon for K-12 schools. The communication is dated August 6, 2020, and appears to be targeted at state procurement officials during the COVID-19 pandemic, addressing the digital divide in educational access.
The offer includes unlimited 4G LTE wireless internet access for K-12 students with special features such as cloud-based remote management of Verizon Jetpacks (Verizon MDM), CIPA compliant filtering and controls through Asavie Moda, and special pricing on Verizon Jetpack devices. The promotion aims to provide affordable internet connectivity to students who lack reliable internet access, with a focus on supporting remote learning needs during the pandemic. The email suggests that schools and state procurement offices can inquire about these discounted wireless internet plans specifically designed for educational institutions.

Hi Tricia, I'm sending you this e-mail because you asked about Verizon options for distance learning earlier this summer. Verizon just announced and released a new distance learning offer (detail below). If you have any questions please let me know and feel free to pass this along within the State or to any schools who inquire through State Procurement. Thanks. Have a great day!
Verizon is offering unlimited 4G LTE wireless internet access at a discounted rate to participating K-12 schools.
We understand that the digital divide is very real in our communities where students do not have access to the resources necessary to be connected with their schools. These resources have always been important, but due to COVID-19 it's more important now than ever before.
