About this file
This document is a Rail Inspection Checklist that provides guidance for daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual inspections of rail infrastructure in accordance with UFC and DOT regulations. The checklist outlines specific inspection activities for different days of the week, such as checking main lines, ties, gauges, crossings, turnouts, and rail bridges. It also includes a schedule for detailed DOT crossing inspections and other monthly and semi-annual inspections. The checklist is a sample document dated January 2023 and is likely used in support of the Ft Carson BASOPS (Base Operations Services) contract opportunity.
The Ft Carson BASOPS contract is a solicitation issued by the Department of the Army's Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Carson for a contractor to provide base operations support services at the U.S. Army Fort Carson in Colorado. The contract will include common level of services such as grounds maintenance, pavement clearance, facility maintenance, heating and cooling services, and wastewater services.
