RFP No. RFX- 2024-10000
Amendment 5
February 14, 2024
OFFERORS:
SUBJECT: Amendment No. 5 to Request for Proposal (RFP) No. RFX-2024-10000, “Heliostat Technology
Advancement”
Amendment No. 5 is being issued to provide questions and answers to Offerors.
Question: I am in the process of preparing a proposal responding to the recent RFP (due this Friday). Right now, I am using the word template that was posted on SAM. As it usually happens with word documents, the figures will jump all over the place whenever I edit something, and I end up spending more time on formatting than on writing content. So, do I have to use this template, or can I use LaTeX and replicate the layout (10 pt font, 1" margins, etc.).
Answer: Section 9.2.8 states each proposal must be submitted in a PDF file. NREL does not see any problem with using an alternative to Word to generate the proposal as long as Offerors follow the outline of the template and the formatting instructions in the RFP. See Addendum C- Technical Volume Instructions and Formatting Instructions sections of the RFP
Except as otherwise stated in this RFP amendment, all other terms and conditions of the subject RFP remain unchanged.
Your organization’s proposal is due not later than February 16, 2024, 4:00 p.m. MT
