About this file

This is Clarification Addendum 4 issued by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center on August 26, 2026, modifying RFP 27-03 for a Revenue Integrity, Managed Care Contract Performance & Patient Financial Platform. The RFP seeks an integrated software solution to support revenue cycle functions including underpayment reporting and recovery, payer contract management with performance analytics, patient financial estimates and assistance workflows, and eligibility verification with coverage discovery. Roswell Park intends to select a single vendor capable of delivering an integrated platform with automated workflows, data integration, audit readiness, and measurable financial impact with minimal manual processes. The addendum clarifies organizational and operational structures to ensure respondents have sufficient information to prepare complete proposals.

The addendum provides five key clarifications regarding Roswell Park's operational structure and reimbursement environment. Clinic locations are embedded within the hospital rather than freestanding, payer contracts are negotiated centrally except for the Community Practices/Care Network which may maintain separate arrangements, and hospital and professional services are generally negotiated under the same payer agreements. Roswell Park utilizes multiple reimbursement methodologies across payer contracts, specifically excluding Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) and instead employing percent of charges, case rates, bundled payments, per diem arrangements, and fee schedules that may vary by payer and service type. Medicare Advantage and commercial contracts referencing Medicare reimbursement similarly employ varied methodologies by contract and service type. All other RFP terms, conditions, and requirements remain unchanged unless modified by subsequent addenda.

Text version

This ADDENDUM 4 (this “Addendum”), dated August 26, 2026 is being issued to Respondents of the referenced RFP 27-03 Revenue Integrity, Managed Care Contract Performance & Patient Financial Platform (the “RFP”), and serves to modify or clarify, as applicable, the following information in the RFP.

It has come to Roswell Park's attention that additional information is necessary to ensure Respondents have sufficient information to prepare complete and responsive proposals. Accordingly, Roswell Park is providing the following clarifications for the benefit of all Respondents.

Additional Clarifications

1. Roswell Park's clinic locations are embedded within the hospital and are not freestanding physician practices.

2. Payer contracts are generally negotiated and managed centrally across Roswell Park. The exception is Roswell Park's Community Practices/Care Network, which may maintain separate payer arrangements and reimbursement terms.

3. Hospital/facility services and professional services are generally negotiated under the same payer agreement.

4. Roswell Park utilizes multiple reimbursement methodologies across its payer contracts. Roswell Park does not receive reimbursement based on Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs). Depending on the payer and the specific services provided, reimbursement methodologies may include percent of charges, case rates, bundled payments, per diem arrangements, and fee schedules. In some instances, a single payer agreement may contain different reimbursement methodologies for different services.

5. For Medicare Advantage and commercial contracts that reference Medicare reimbursement, reimbursement methodologies vary by contract and service type. As noted above, Roswell Park utilizes a variety of reimbursement methodologies rather than a single standardized approach.

All other terms, conditions, and requirements of RFP 27-03 remain unchanged unless specifically modified by a subsequent addendum image1.jpeg
