About this file
This file is a Questions and Answers document for RFP 008-2026 regarding Temporary Staff Services issued by Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) and Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC). The RFP seeks vendors to provide temporary staffing for nursing and other clinical departments across three locations: Nassau University Medical Center, A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility, and Nassau County Correctional Center. Bidding on all positions and facilities is not mandatory, allowing vendors to bid selectively on specific categories or locations. NHCC reserves the right to make no award, a single award, or multiple awards under this procurement. Submissions should be directed to RFPSubmissions@numc.edu during the restricted period.
Pricing must be presented as fully burdened, all-inclusive hourly bill rates with separate bill rates permitted for different facilities, specialty areas, and assignment types such as local, travel, and international work. Premium pay for overtime, holiday, callback, on-call, and shift differentials should be listed with separate bill rates. The procurement includes specific contracting goals: a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) goal of 6.00% and Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) goals of 20.00%. Certified MWBE or SDVOB prime contractors may count self-performance of 100% of the work toward these goals without subcontracting, provided they are registered as MWBE with NYS ESD or as SDVOB with NYS OGS. Previous awarded vendors on similar contracts include White Glove Placement, Home Care Therapies DBA Horizon Healthcare Staffing, AMN Healthcare Inc, LocumTenens.com LLC, and Total Healthcare Staffing Service.
