About this file
This is Amendment No. 2 to RFP 008-2026 for Temporary Staff Services issued by Nassau County Health Care Services (NHCC) on July 21, 2026. The amendment expands the scope of the original RFP to include Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in addition to the previously specified temporary clinical staff positions at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility (AHP), and Nassau County Correctional Center (NCCC). The amendment modifies the professional medical judgment provisions to explicitly include Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners alongside Physicians and Registered Nurses, and adds two new job title categories with full-time, part-time, and per diem employment options.
The amendment specifies minimum qualifications for both positions, including active state licensure in New York, completion of accredited educational programs, and valid Basic Life Support certification. Physician Assistants must hold an active PA license and graduation from an accredited PA program, while Nurse Practitioners must maintain active licensure as both Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners with completion of an approved Master's or Doctoral NP educational program. Both positions require proficiency with electronic health records and hospital computer systems, as well as the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary clinical teams. The procurement includes a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) goal of 6.00% and Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) contracting goals of 20.00%. Previous vendors awarded similar contracts include White Glove Placement, Horizon Healthcare Staffing, AMN Healthcare Inc., LocumTenens.com LLC, and Total Healthcare Staffing Service.
