About this file

This is Amendment No. 1 to RFP 008-2026 for Temporary Staff Services issued by Nassau County Health Care Services (NHCC) on July 10, 2026. The amendment expands the scope of the original RFP to include physician staffing in addition to nursing and other clinical staff for Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility (AHP), and Nassau County Correctional Center (NCCC). The amendment modifies three sections of the original RFP: it adds physicians to the list of job titles whose staff retain the right to exercise independent professional medical judgment; it adds a new job category for Physicians with three scheduling options (Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem); and it provides detailed job descriptions and minimum qualifications for physicians, including requirements for an active New York State medical license (M.D. or D.O.), completion of an approved residency program, and valid Basic Life Support certification.

The amendment maintains all other terms and conditions of the original RFP unchanged. Previous awarded vendors include White Glove Placement, Home Care Therapies DBA Horizon Healthcare Staffing, AMN Healthcare Inc., LocumTenens.com LLC, and Total Healthcare Staffing. The procurement includes a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) goal of 6 percent and Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) contracting goals totaling 20 percent.
