About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Invitation for Bid (IFB) CAAA 2026000011, issued by the Colorado Department of Corrections for Warehouse Commodities #2, specifically covering Baking, Cereal & Dried Goods. The Q&A addresses a specific vendor inquiry regarding Line Items 3 (oats) and 12 (rice), with the solicitation indicating that orders may be placed by truckload with delivery to 2 or more facilities per load. The document confirms that not all items will require full truckload quantities, but orders will be placed approximately every 4-6 months over the course of one year.
The Q&A provides clarification on delivery logistics, specifically noting that vendors should indicate the number of delivery stops for a full truckload on Exhibit D of the solicitation. The response suggests flexibility in ordering, with potential for multiple delivery locations and varying order sizes. The solicitation appears to be structured to allow vendors to supply commodities to six warehouse locations throughout Colorado, with the Department of Corrections seeking competitive pricing and potential ongoing supply arrangements for these food-related commodities.

Checking if we can get a little more info for Line item 3 oats and line item12 rice.
We're assuming this will be ordered in truck load quantities which is 850 bags.
over the course of 1 year.
I saw that deliveries will be made to 2 or more locations.
In order to figure freight charges will these be delivered to all 6 locations.
Answer: Hello John, Per the IFB Solicitation document, it states that "Orders may be placed by truck load with delivery to 2 or more facilities per load." On Exhibit D, there is a specification request for "# of Delivery Stope per
Truckload", you will enter the amount of delivery stops for a full truckload. Please Note that not all items will be ordered in this fashion of needing a full truck load, but over the course of 1 year, orders will be placed every 4-6 months.
