SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE (SF 30)

The following have been added by full text:

AMENDMENT 1

The responses to questions received for N6449821R4037 are as follows:

Q1. Do the units have to control humidity as well? Meaning are we required to run a water supply to the units to add humidity?

A1. The units do not need to control humidity (humidifiers are not required).

Q2. The RFP details use of PPQs for past performance. If we have CPARS available should we utilize those in lieu of the PPQ form?

A2. CPARS should not be sent in lieu of PPQs (Attachment 13). However, as stated on page 9 of the solicitation, the Government may review and consider any other sources of information for evaluating past performance. CPARS information may be reviewed by the Government, in addition to any submitted PPQs.

Q3. Also, in the RFP, page 7 of 90, there is a page limitation for past performance of 3 pages. Is that 3 pages per each project example or is it 3 pages total for all 3 projects?

A3. The page limitation is for the entirety of the Past Performance factor. However, as delineated in Section 00 21 16, paragraph 2.1 on page 5 of the solicitation, Title/Cover Page, Tables of Contents, Glossaries of abbreviations and acronyms, PPQs, CPARS, and attachments do not count towards the page limitation.

Q4. Is there a piping route for the new units? It is hard to determine any lengths without sketches/drawings or knowing where the pipes will be ran.

A4. Pipe routing drawings were not provided. Intent is to locate condensers inline on roof along penthouse south wall adjacent existing 15-ton condenser (with mfg. recommended spacing).

Q5. In the photos it references a 15 ton unit – this unit is not mentioned anywhere in the RFP – Please advise what this is and what needs to be done with this unit.

A5. Nothing is required to be done with the existing 15 ton unit. The pictures of the existing 15 ton unit were shown for reference to provide an example of a condenser mounted on the roof and acceptable line-set supports & penetration through wall.

Q6. It appears we are to install 2 new panels – (PP1C & PP3P) – Please confirm? Also can anyone verify length from PPE LAB panel to panels PP1C & PP3P

A6. NAVFAC has installed panels, PP1C and PP3P, to facilitate other projects on the fourth floor. This is where the contractor will take their power for the new units from these panels. See section 23.23

Q7. For the controls is there an existing panel and system we are tying into inside Bldg 1000?

There are existing panels for other equipment. Each room will have a new enclosure installed for the units. One enclosure will have two power panels in room 473A. One for the 8-ton unit and the other for the 10-ton unit. Room 477A will have an enclosure with three power panels. One power panel for each of the 5-ton units. The power panels can be connected to an existing communication panel.

Q8. I have not found anyone that has attended the site visit – was there a sign in sheet?

A8. 5 contractors attended the site visit:

Diversified Refrigeration,Inc.

Surety Mechanical DAGDA Corporation Xtreme Mechanical Peterson Service

Q9. How many temporary units are there that need removed and turned over?

A9. 2x 5-ton portable units (1x in each server room)

SECTION 00 10 00 - SOLICITATION

The required response date/time has changed from 20-Sep-2021 03:30 PM to 23-Sep-2021 03:30 PM.
