Instructions - Revision History
| Brief Instructions to NAVFAC Contractors ( KTRs ) |
| For new construction and for structural or equipment modifications/installation, KTRs are required to fill out and provide data back to NAVFAC in two templates Flat File - New Equipment and Flat File - CIMUs |
| Supporting information for KTR data submission in terms of the structure of templates, data definitions, value lists for fields are all provided in this workbook |
| The tab New CONST-RENOVATION contain details of the structure of data templates for Equipment and Structure/CIMU data. |
| For items marked "by NAVFAC", KTR should leave column name as a place holder. NAVFAC POC ( point of contact ) will prepopulate data OR will fill it in after data is received. |
| Both the Equipment and CIMU data templates have several common data fields. Values would be the same in several cases but all required field data MUST be filled in. |
| KTR should ask their NAVFAC POC for any questions |
| If a KTR uses their internal systems to create a flat file. the flat file must have a pipe delimiter to separate column data. That is the required format for NAVFAC. |
| Explanations for each tab in this workbook | |

| Asset Type | By NAVFAC | | Value will be Facilities OR Utliites. NAVFAC product line responsible for maintenance. | |
| Asset ID | By KTR | Y | This is a unique asset # to be assigned by KTR . The # should be unique within the site id. FEC POC should provide a 4 digit unique code for each KTR working on project/region. KTR will prefix that code for all their Asset #. For Example BAFA12345. BAF could stand for Balfour and A would stand for KTR A working for Balfour at site. 12345 could be the unique asset # for all KTR A /Balfour assets within that site id. This value will be loaded into MAXIMO 7.1 when the script loads this file. This would work the same way for RPIE/CIMU and BOTH | |
