Contractor is to state the UL and DL speeds expected to be achieved based on the equipment proposed |

| Is there a designated cable path in place from the mechanical room ( where Headend) will be installed to the Deflorez building? If not, will we have to use an aerial route or route it underground? | The mechanical room is slightly adjacent to the main building, but there is a standard aerial cabling path that goes into the main building. |
| Since T-Mo and Sprint have officially merged should we assume T-Mo/Sprint as one service provider with combined bands? | Contractor should not assume that T-Mobile and Sprint are one provider. Contractor is to determine the appropiate solution to meet the Government requirement. |
| Requirements #4: Is the coverage area requirement 95% per floor minus the exclusion areas that have been identified? | All areas should have coverage (100%) with the exception of the identified resticted areas. No equipment is to be within 10 feet of the restricted areas IAW the SOW paragraph #8 |
| With 5G DAS solutions not mature/available today, is a 5G ready/upgradable solution acceptable? | Government requirement is that the system be 5G ready IAW with SOW paragraph #3 |
| Requirements #5 and 6: As per the RFP requirements, we will propose fiber to the edge DAS solution. The system will be capable of supporting future 5G but the price will include all 4G bands and services excluding 5G. Is this acceptable? | The Government requirement is that the system be 5G ready. |
| Requirements #17: Do we need to provide pricing for the maintenance? | Contractor is to identify all costs necessary to meet the requirements and identify if they are a one time cost or a recurring cost to include maintenance if applicable IAW SOW paragraph # 13 |
| Is there a need to provide training to the staff? | The SOW does not include any training requirements. |
| Requirements #20: Should the OSF fiber between Mech Bldg. to demark location in Deflorez bldg. be excluded from our scope assuming that it will be provided by others? | Fiber between buildings should be included in the scope. All expenses and purchases shall be included in the proposed price. IAW with SOW paragraph # 5 and #6 |
| Since this is a highly secure federal bldg. do we provide ‘specialized’ labor (similar to union)? Is there need for installers with security clearance? | No specilized labor is required. No security clearance is required. Contractors must be a U.S. citizen and free of felonies, and a background check will need to be cleared in order to receive non-escort access to non-restricted areas IAW SOW paragraphs #11, #13, #26, and #28 |
| Can you define the technical specifications for “5G-ready”? Is the requirement for a DAS that currently supports mmWave 5G; or can be easily upgraded to support mmWave 5G when required? | The governments requirement is for a DAS that is 5G ready. Contractor is required to determine whether mmWave is necessary to meet the Governments requirement. |
| Does the Navy currently have a DAS deployed that meets the 5G-ready requirement? | We do not currently have anything in place . |
| Please clarify “the connection from the HE to the antenna should be fiber”? Are DAS with coax from the remote units to antennas unacceptable? | |
| No coaxial cable should be used on this project. | |
| Does the customer want all the Carrier Bands of support listed to be included in each RAU (Antenna remote) from Day 1 or to minimize to 4 bands on Day 1 and add other bands in the future for additional cost at that time? | All requirements are to be met when install is complete |
| Signal sources are never guaranteed to be provided by carriers, and even if they agree to provide it can take many months to arrive. Does the customer want to include signal source costs to get the services on-air Day 1? | Yes, Contractor is to provide all signal sources once project is complete but no later than 1 Sep 2020. Note that exceeding -70 may not be compatible with carrier specifications as typically the wireless providers look for coverage for the high bands to be around -95 dBm RSRP with 6dB of dominance over the macro. Additionally, -70 may also exceed FCC EMF limits. | Government requirement is a minimum of -70dbm. Alternative proposals will not be accepted by the Government |
| Does the requirement for being 5G ready for all major carriers include support for all bands listed or just provide support for 1 of the listed bands?
