16. REMARKS COR 0 1 0
The Contractor shall deliver technical reports of research performed. These reports AO 0 1 1 will document research activities pursued and the results of those efforts, including data generated as well as insights and conclusions the data supports. The timing of these reports as well as the format will be dictated by the details of the project and the reporting requirements of the sponsor.
Expected formats include electronic delivery of raw research data, graphical representations of data as images (e.g., charts or graphs) or animations, slide decks for sponsor review or for other technical presentations, and written reports combining graphical data representations with narrative prose suitable for informing sponsors of interim or final progress or for submitting to technical conferences or journals.
The frequency at which such reporting will be required will be project dependent, but in general will be frequent enough to ensure clarity and completeness of the description of research efforts without imposing an undue burden on the Contractor. Reporting for the purpose of documenting research efforts in the absence of sponsor reporting requirements will typically involve a monthly written summary of research activities and results. Such an interim progress report may be delivered as an email message to the COR. When possible, material delivered for other purposes (such as sponsor updates) will also count as a progress report to reduce the reporting burden on the Contractor.
A final report per task order that compiles these interim reports and augments them as necessary to deliver a thorough understanding of the work that was pursued, what data was generated, and what insights were developed, must be delivered to the COR within 5 days of the end of the period of performance for the task order.

16. REMARKS COR 0 1 0
For tasks that explicitly or implicitly require the creation of new software or the AO 0 1 1 improvement of software within 6040's libraries, the Contractor shall provide an electronic version of well-documented source code for the software developed while undertaking these tasks. This delivery will occur at the end of the period of performance of that particular task unless a different date is specified in the task order. Preliminary or incomplete source code may be requested from the Contractor before the end of the period of performance in order to coordinate the creation of other software that must interact or interface with the Contractor-developed software. Preliminary of incomplete software may be included by the Contractor with Data Item A002, Technical Reports Documenting Research Performed, when said software helps document ongoing efforts for an interim progress report.

16. REMARKS COR 0 1 0
The Contractor shall supply users' manuals for software developed under the AO 0 1 1 contract. These manuals will describe, as appropriate for the specific software application, the physics modeled by the software, the mathematical and numerical models and algorithms employed, and guidance on running the software. This guidance shall include a description of user-specified input or model parameters and guidelines for choosing numerical values for these parameters. The manual will include a description of expected accuracy of the calculations and the parameter space over which the simulation is valid.
Modest changes and extensions to existing software do not require the creation of a separate, stand-alone users' manual for the new software embodiment, provided that documentation within the source code itself combined with material delivered under A002, Technical Reports Documenting Research Performed, is deemed sufficient by the COR to document the modifications and guide use of the modified software.
