About this file
This document contains the mandatory specifications and requirements for a Request for Bid (RFB) for computer equipment and related services for the State of Wisconsin and its authorized users, including the University of Wisconsin system. The contract establishes requirements that bidders must meet at no additional cost, covering general, technical, environmental, documentation, warranty, website, performance, delivery, and communication standards for contractors providing computer hardware, peripherals, and related support services to state agencies and educational institutions throughout Wisconsin.
The contract covers enterprise-class computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories with a four-year manufacturer's next business day on-site parts and labor warranty included in pricing, plus an optional fifth-year warranty extension. All products must meet EPEAT environmental certification and Energy Star standards where applicable, with UL safety approval and FCC commercial use approval required. Contractors must provide technical support with four-business-hour callback requirements, maintain secure websites with contract pricing, deliver products within 15 business days for orders of 100 units or fewer, and offer demonstration equipment for evaluation periods up to 30 days. The contract requires contractors to accept various payment methods including state purchasing cards and purchase orders, provide toll-free customer service during business hours, and maintain replacement parts availability for a minimum of two years after product discontinuation. Pricing is based on contractual rates in effect when orders are placed, with quotes valid for 30 days and delivery throughout Wisconsin at no additional shipping cost to authorized users.
