About this file

This document contains a Request for Information report and a pre-solicitation notice for a federal contract opportunity. The Request for Information report relates to a potential contract to repair HVAC systems and seeks clarification on equipment specifications, noting that condensing units of the specified size are not available with VFDs or an 18 SEER rating. It provides responses allowing for modulated capacity control via alternative means and a minimum 10 EER rating for condensing units. The related pre-solicitation notice is for the Repair HVAC project at the Marine Reserve Facility in Westover Air Reserve Base. The opportunity will use sealed bid procedures and be set aside for total small businesses. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 26th, 2020 with a bid opening date of July 7th, 2020. The single award firm fixed-price contract will have a 150-day performance period from notice to proceed. The project scope involves replacing HVAC units and equipment. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $250,000 to $500,000.
