Nonresident Acadamies
1. New York Police Department (NYPD) Academy:
Work Description: The contractor shall provide Nonresident Training (NRT) support for the New York Police Department (NYPD) Academy, New York, reference contract PWS Section
7.1.4. The contractor shall coordinate with the COR or designated representative in meeting the performance requirements of this request.
Work Plan: The contractor shall provide support and oversight of THREAT/LEPM/LERA for New York Police Department (NYPD) Academy. The contractor shall conduct a quality check of the administrative paperwork collected by the NYPD staff and consolidate the paperwork from each NYPD delivery for submission to the Training Support Services contractor on a weekly basis. The contractor will also assist with FEMA SID registration of students.
There are normally two shifts for NYPD training at the Flushing location; however, the contractor can provide support for half of one shift and half of another shift for a total of 8 hours per day training is scheduled.
Safety reporting is the responsibility of NYPD within their chain-of-command. No safety support is required.
Level of effort:
THREAT will be delivered by NYPD instructors on Monday through Friday and two weekends per month as follows:
Monday – Friday (August 22-September 30, 20XX and January 1-August 21, 20XX)
Flushing location
One (1) THREAT course delivered per day tour
One (1) THREAT course delivered per night tour
Weekends
Flushing location
One (1) THREAT course delivered on day tour (2) weekends each month (Saturday and Sunday)
Bronx location
One (1) THREAT course delivered on day tour (2) weekends each month (Saturday and Sunday)
LEPM/LERA will tentatively be delivered by NYPD instructors Monday through Thursday as follows:
Monday – Thursday (October 1-December 31, 20XX)
Flushing Location
Two (2) LEPM classes two times a week
Two (2) LERA classes two times a week
The contractor will perform an estimate of two trainer validation days per year
There are no logistical requirements for this support to NYPD as these are academy deliveries.
The contractor shall ensure that each student has a FEMA SID. The contractor will coordinate with the Government and Training Support Services contractor in sustaining the NYPD Academy and to ensure all administrative functions, tasks, and documentation are obtained, reviewed for accuracy, and forwarded to the appropriate CDP contractor for processing.
2. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Academy:
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Academy, Los Angeles, CA, reference contract PWS Section 7.1.4. The contractor shall coordinate with the COR or designated representative in meeting performance requirements of this request.
Work Plan: The contractor shall provide support and oversight of THREAT/LEPM/LERA for Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Academy. The contractor shall conduct a quality check of the administrative paperwork collected by the LAPD staff and consolidate the paperwork from each LAPD delivery for submission to the Training Support Services contractor on a weekly basis. The contractor shall also assist the FEMA SID registration of students.
Safety reporting is the responsibility of LAPD within their chain-of-command. No safety support
LAPD Academy training support to be delivered based on the following scheduling information:
THREAT (8 hours a day, 3 days/week Sunday – Tuesday) LEPM and LERA (one iteration per month, 8 hours a day X 2 days)
LAPD has sites that include Granada Hills, San Pedro, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills. Training could be conducted at any of the sites, but primarily in Los Angeles.
The contractor will perform an estimate of two trainer validation days per year.
There are no logistical requirements for this support to LAPD as these are academy deliveries.
The contractor shall ensure that each student has a FEMA SID and complete all required student and course documentation prior to submission to the Training Support Services contractor. The contractor shall coordinate with the Government and the Training Support Services contractor in sustaining the LAPD Academy and to ensure all administrative functions, tasks, and documentation are obtained, reviewed for accuracy, and for forwarded to the appropriate CDP contractor for processing.
3. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD)
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), Los Angeles, CA, reference contract PWS Section 7.1.4. The contractor shall coordinate with the COR or designated representative in meeting performance requirements of this request.
Work Plan: The contractor shall provide support and oversight of THREAT for Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD). The contractor shall conduct a quality check of the administrative paperwork collected by the LASD staff and consolidate the paperwork from each LASD delivery for submission to the Training Support Services contractor on a weekly basis.
The contractor shall also assist the FEMA SID registration of students.
