Questions & Answers and Changes to PWS

16 September 2016

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

Key: Questions will have a “Q” preceding the number. The response to a question will have an “A” preceding the same number.

Q1. The solicitation calls for upgrading an existing audiovisual system in Próceres (3212/3210). Can the

Government provide a block level diagram and /or detailed equipment list of the current system?

A1. Some diagrams are attached to this response. However, none are directly from Próceres. UTD was not able to provide documentation to NDU but the smaller room implement was to image Próceres.

Difference are the Biamps Nixa - Próceres uses 3 x Audia DSP. Vendor can stop by at any time if want to look again into AV closet.

Q2. We understand that redesign of the existing system will support of the digital upgrade and control system upgrade. Does the Government have a pre-established interface design for the new control system interface?

A2. Creston Digital Media 32x32 with redundant power supply- see attached current NDU standard guidelines. Not finalized and approved but currently used as the baseline.

Q3. Will the Government be able to (provide) all existing source code at the time of the award?

A3. Some are available and WJPC will provide all to which it has access.

Q4. The current requested delivery is within 2 weeks of receipt of the order with the complete system installed within 3 weeks. Without any additional information, the proposed interval seems very aggressive given the specified tasks. Would the Government be amenable to updating the delivery interval to 60 or 45 days after receipt of order? Extending the delivery interval would mitigate risks in fully integrating this system in compliance with the current WJPC requirements as well as the NDU AV system standards in Lincoln Hall.

A5. Paragraph 6 of the PWS shall be revised to read as follows:

The delivery of items and work under this contract shall be completed by 31 December 2016. Work shall be scheduled to take place between date of award and 11 December 2016, during a period when the room is not scheduled to be in use. Once the work begins it shall be completed within 2 -3 weeks. Weekends are open for work during the period of performance, as well.

CHNAGES TO PWS:

Paragraphs 4.2.2, 4.2.3, 4.284.2.11, 4.2.12 and 6 have been revised.
