About this file

This is an Architect's Supplemental Instruction (ASI) addendum issued by G Squared Design on July 22, 2026, for the National Guard Secure Area project (Project Number 2026.060), a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) compliance upgrade at the National Guard Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ). The addendum provides clarifications and supplemental instructions to construction documents dated July 14, 2026, and updates the drawing set to reflect official state review findings and permit clarifications. The work encompasses demolition, wall framing, ceiling installation, mechanical and electrical coordination, security shielding systems, and vapor barrier installation across Level 2 of the facility. Key specifications include the replacement of sheet metal or metal vapor barriers with AL 40 material throughout walls and ceilings, modifications to wall-mounted item removal and reinstallation protocols, corrections to partition wall head conditions, updates to finish schedules with manufacturers and color numbers, and detailed security grounding requirements. The addendum modifies numerous flag notes and general notes across multiple drawing sheets, including demolition plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, security plans, and partition type details to ensure compliance with controlled space requirements and SCIF security standards.

The addendum explicitly states that proceeding with work constitutes the contractor's acceptance of the information with no change to the contract sum or contract time. Notable specifications include the installation of visitor warning light systems and doorbell systems throughout secure spaces, comprehensive RF (radiofrequency) attenuation material grounding points spaced every 10 feet using 6 AWG minimum grounding wire configured in a "halo" formation, and vapor barrier seam treatment with 2 inches of 3M 1170 conductive adhesive tape or equivalent product. Security grounding must be maintained independently and separate from electrical grounding systems, with ground connections located a minimum of 1 meter away from electrical systems and routed to earth ground. The addendum references that antenna testing and bluelight system installation are by others and includes attachments of the full architectural drawing set for project 2026.060.
