This modification hereby answers the following questions:
Q: Concerning Ply0193, your solicitation calls for a BB grade. I questioned if this panel would have football patches one side or both sides of the panel. The response was no patches. That is not possible in a Russian Birch panel.
Based off your spec, and Russian grading standards, B/B would mean football patches are allowed on both sides of the panel. Just want to be sure that this is what will be allowed or if you want to revise the spec to be football patches one side which would then carry the Russian spec of B/BB.
A: The spec should be B/BB grade
Q: In reviewing Award 4 internal lumber banded items 44-47 I have a couple of questions.
1. Are the sizes given the exact sizes that Unicor wants to receive the panels or do the panels need to be oversized.
2. I am unable to find the drawings that are referenced in the description of the items to know:
a. The size of the edge band required
b. The profile that should be cut
c. Exact dimensions of the "Boat Shape"
d. Are interior bands to be mitered or butt joined (long over short or short over long)
3. The tops are to be shipped in 2 equal pieces. Does this mean that you want each of the 2 pieces lumber banded on all 4 sides, or do you want the 3 sides lumber banded and the split doesn't need it?
A: Drawings are attached to the solicitation, which should answer all of these questions.
Q: Can we pick and choose what to bid, or does it have to be all or nothing?
A: As stated in the solicitation, it is anticipated that the award will be made as 3 or possibly 4 awards. However, interested vendors, must bid on all items in a particular award group to be considered for award. ( example: in order to be considered for the items in the Award 1 Group, an interested offeror must submit in their proposal pricing for all items in Award 1 group)
Q: My primary question is would you consider one source for the entire program?
A: Yes, it is only anticipated that this solicitation will be made as a multiple award. If it is in the best interest of the government to award to one offerer based on evaluation criteria, it is possible to have only one award for all items.
Except as provided herein, all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
