About this file

This is a contractor deliverables document from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Gaylord Field Office for project FM-15-18, a section retracement survey of existing DNR lands. The primary contact is Carl Kiiskila at the Gaylord Field Office (989-732-3541 ext. 5463). The contractor must deliver a working AutoCAD drawing five business days before final staking that documents conflicting evidence, historical versus modern measurements, and any multiple monumentation found. Final deliverables include two signed and stamped copies of the final map (one on 4 mil mylar), AutoCAD files, a least squares adjustment report at 95% confidence error ellipses with minimum redundancy from independent control points, and copies of field notes. All boundary monuments must be monumented with stamped 2-inch aluminum caps on 5/8-inch by 34-inch iron rebars marked according to 2009 BLM standards, with blue composite posts placed at 1-foot offsets on state land. The contractor must record all remonumented and rewitnessed government corners and 1/16 corners used as control with the LCRC, blaze and paint witness trees on state land, and locate any wood lath or posts on state boundary lines.

The deliverables also require state plane coordinate files and latitude-longitude coordinate files in CSV format with point names, coordinates, elevation or height, and descriptions, along with printed coordinate files. The MDNR reserves the right to adjust the number of 1/16 corners set and recorded as needed. Survey caps and composite posts are to be supplied by the Department of Natural Resources. No pricing terms, funding amounts, or contract term information is provided in this deliverables document.
