About this file

This is a Federal Required Certification document applicable to the City of Pasadena's procurement for lumber, carpentry tools, and related supplies in California. The City intends to award a contract for an initial term of three years, with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year terms at the City's sole discretion. Bidders must provide pricing for all line items to be considered responsive; any bid lacking complete pricing for all required items will be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for award consideration.

The certification requires contractors to attest that no Federal appropriated funds have been or will be paid to influence Federal officers, Members of Congress, or Congressional staff in connection with this contract. Contractors must also disclose any non-Federal funds used for lobbying activities by submitting Standard Form-LLL if applicable. Contractors are obligated to include this certification language in all subaward documents and require subrecipients to certify and disclose accordingly. Failure to submit the required certification subjects contractors to civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 per failure, and the certification is subject to the False Claims Act provisions under 31 U.S.C. Chapter 38. Bid pricing must remain valid for the initial contract term and any approved renewal periods in accordance with the solicitation's pricing provisions.

3. The undersigned shall require that the language of this certification be included in the award documents for all subawards at all tiers (including subcontracts, subgrants, and contracts under grants, loans, and cooperative agreements) and that all subrecipients shall certify and disclose accordingly.
