Question 1: Are Seat Pallets forward/aft locking and not side locking?
Answer 1: Seat pallets gain forward, aft, and vertical up restraint on KC-46 through "bear claw" type floor locks that are located at the fore and aft sides of the pallet. Lateral restraint is gained through side guides. Accordingly, there is forward, aft, lateral, and vertical restraint.
Question 2: Are appendices allowed for the Technical Volume to ensure all content requested is provided; or does all content submitted need to fit within the 25 page limit?
Answer 2: All content requested should adhere to the page limits in the RFP. Any information that exceeds the page limits will not be evaluated.
Question 3: We would like to include an option in our proposal that is a modification to the regular seating pallet. Can we include the option in our proposal without causing it to be rejected as two different proposals?
Answer 3: This source selection is being conducted using Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable procedures. The proposal that meets the requirements stated in the RFP at the lowest price will be selected, there is no value considered for an offer that exceeds the requirements. For each proposal, the Government will evaluate it against the requirements in the RFP. As stated in the RFP letter, offeror’s are encouraged to submit their best offer in their initial proposal.
