2 NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Request for Information (RFI) to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only.
This RFI is for informational and planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information.
3 PROGRAM DETAILS: The United States Air Force at Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) is conducting market research seeking capable sources to design and build 3 new Paint Booth inserts into existing building 674 for F22 aircraft. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. However, respondents submitting business information pursuant to this RFI should consult 41 C.F.R. part 105-60 and other implementing regulations concerning the release of such information to third parties under the Freedom of Information Act. All information submitted by respondents that they consider confidential and not releasable to third parties outside of the Air Force, and its employees, agents, consultants, and representatives, must be clearly and conspicuously marked.
Please see the attached DRAFT STATEMENT OF WORK from the initial RFI posting for a complete description of project requirements.
4 RFI QUESTIONS:
The Source Selection Team has developed a list of questions to facilitate discussion and influence the final version of the Request for Proposal. To ensure that your answers and comments are considered in the development of this acquisition, please submit your responses no later than 7 February 2014.
Send all responses to Kristin Stoker (primary) at Kristin.stoker@us.af.mil and SSgt Esteban Bedoya (secondary) at Esteban.bedoya_hernandez.1@us.af.mil with the subject heading ‘Building 674, 3 Paint Booth Inserts RFI 2’.
In addition to your responses to the RFI questions, feel free to include any suggestions, recommendations, questions, or concerns regarding this effort.
4.1 Company info: Name, Address, Phone Number, Cage Code, and DUNS.
4.2 In accordance with the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW), paragraph 2 – Project Schedule, the Government is estimating 463 calendars days to complete the project. In accordance with the requirements in the DRAFT SOW, is it possible to complete the project in a shorter amount of time? If yes, what is the projected schedule?
4.3 In accordance with paragraph 2, Figure 5 of the DRAFT SOW, which areas could be reduced or shortened?
4.4 In accordance with the DRAFT SOW, what are your company’s ideas to reduce the performance time?
