e. Flooring will need to be non-slip coated or designed to prevent slip hazards. Ramps will meet safety requirements and provide easy loading of equipment.
f. All major components will be galvanized or stainless steel to the full extent possible to prevent corrosion in Guam’s severe corrosive environment. Mild steel construction should be avoided.
g. Wash booth will meet OSHA requirements for ventilation systems. If booth does not meet specs once installed contractor will be responsible for rework to meet requirements.
h. The booths will need doors on each end to provide drive through capability to ease with loading and removing heavy equipment. Cross-draft or down draft design.
i. System will need to be a closed loop recycling system as access to an oil water separator is non-existent. 3 sets of system maintenance and operation manuals will be required.
j. Filtration system will be capable of separating all heavy metals, cadmium, chromium 6, and other types of aerospace equipment industry standard coatings, contained in T.O. 1-1-8 and T.O. 35-1-3. System will trap and contain all hazardous waste for proper disposal.
k. Equipment will require a minimum of one year labor warranty, with installation and safety training to accommodate up to 35 individuals.
l. Booth will be exhausted outside facility by awarded contractor if required. Proposed facility is a concrete structure

r. If compressed air is required per design contractor will provide air compressor for a turn-key solution to our problem.
s. If fire protection system is required to safely utilize the water blaster, contractor will be required to do a site visit and determine scope of work involved and submit plans to contracting to prevent unforeseen start-up costs associated with the purchasing a booth that is not ready and safe to operate.
3. Environmental Factors
a. Guam severe weather forecast and climate should be considered in all decision making.
b. Contractor will comply with Andersen Haz Waste Management Guide and all federal laws governing waste generated by type of equipment system. Environmental stewardship may be a basis for equipment selection.
c. Contractor is required to secure all air/ground permits required for installation of the system.
4. Utility hook up on proposed site
