MEMORANDUM FOR POTENTIAL OFFERORS
FROM: ACC AMIC/PKC
SUBJECT: Solicitation FA4890-10-R-0009, Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), Industry Day/One-on-One Announcement, Registration and General Information
1. Headquarters Air Combat Command, Acquisition Management and Integration Center (HQ ACC AMIC) is developing an acquisition to support ACC’s remotely piloted aircraft missions. Support will consist of program management, organizational-level maintenance for aircraft, ground control stations, and communications equipment, reachback communication support, weapons loading, munitions build up and logistics support at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
2. ACC AMIC will be conducting an open forum briefing and one-on-one sessions 19 – 20 January 2011 in order to share information on the Government’s requirement and preliminary acquisition strategy, as well as to obtain Industry feedback. The Government’s briefing will be conducted at the Hilton Garden Inn Newport News located at 180 Regal Way, Newport News, Virginia, USA 23602 (Tel: 757-947-1080/Fax: 757-947-1081). Registration will begin at 0815 and end at 0845 on 19 January. The briefing will begin at 0900 followed by an open forum question and answer session. Following this briefing, each company will be allotted one hour for the one-on-one session with the government. One-on-ones will be conducted at ACC AMIC in the 5th floor conference room located at 11817 Canon Blvd, Ste. 306, Newport News, VA. Each company will be allotted one hour for the one-on-one session. The purpose of the one-on-one session is to answer questions and allow the Government to obtain specific feedback from your company’s representatives. Marketing/capabilities briefings are not authorized during the one-on-one session.
3. For our planning purposes, request you provide the following information if you are interested in participating in the open forum and/or a one-on-one session:
a) Name of Company
b) Name of each individual attending, his or her contact number and e-mail address
c) Specify if attending open forum and/or requesting a one-on-one session
Provide the above information to sharon.potter@langley.af.mil or donna.rankin@langley.af.mil no later than 12 January 2011. Request you use title “[Company Name] – Industry Day Attendees” in the e-mail subject line. We will notify you of your scheduled one-on-one time within two days of receipt of your request. Appointments for a one-on-one session can also be made during the morning of the open forum, but availability may be limited. If you have questions you would like to submit in advance, please provide them to the above e-mail address no later than 12 January 2011. If you consider the questions proprietary, please clearly mark them as such.
4. Recommend you periodically check Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov or www.fedbizopps.gov) for pertinent information. The Performance Work Statement was posted on 7 December 2010, and the Government will attempt to have draft sections of the Request for Proposal posted prior to 19 January 2011 to further facilitate discussions.
